Carol has worked alongside Professor Lack in his private allergy clinic at The Portland Hospital since 2001. She has done her Nursing training at St Bartholomew’s Hospital and at Guy’s Hospital where she has worked in Cardio Thoracic Intensive Care. Carol has held a Staff Nurse post at St Bartholomew’s and a Sister’s post at Guy’s Hospital.
Vicki trained at Glasgow Caledonian University before moving to London and working at St Mary’s Hospital in the day care unit. In 2005 she began specialising in allergy and started working for Professor Lack as an Allergy Research Nurse working on the LEAP study at St Thomas’ Hospital before joining his private practice at the Portland Hospital.
Victoria Timms is a Senior Research Nurse in Paediatric Allergy at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. Victoria has also worked with The Children’s Allergy Service as a Deputy Clinical Nurse Specialist where she was involved in the day to day running of the allergy day care unit. This involved food and drug challenges, administration of high risk vaccinations, and desensitisation treatments, both sublingual and subcutaneous. In addition to working within the NHS Allergy and Dermatology services, Victoria works with Professor Gideon at The Portland Hospital. In this role Victoria is involved in overseeing food challenges, performing diagnostic testing such as skin prick testing, spirometry and exhaled nitric oxide, administering vaccinations and sublingual immunotherapy treatments.
